Patsy Earhart Lane

Patsy Earhart Lane, age 79 passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022, in Manassas, Virginia.

She was born on December 3, 1942, in Aden, Virginia to the late Clifford and Virginia (Jones) Earhart.

Patsy grew up in Manassas and graduated from Osbourn High School in 1961.  She then went to work for the CIA and married her high school sweetheart, Ken Lane in 1962.  Between 1963-1967, Pat and Ken had three children Ron, Karan and Susie.  After staying home with the children for several years, Pat was employed by Prince William County Public Schools in 1975.  During her career with the county, she worked at Fred Lynn Middle School, Woodbridge Middle School and finally retired in 1997 from Parkside Middle School.  Pat and Ken had a house built in the Northern Neck and moved permanently to their retirement home in Mt. Holly known as “The River House”.

Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She loved to spend time with the family including vacationing with family and friends in Nags Head, NC for the last 40 years.

Pat was very faithful, loyal and caring.  She loved God and her faith was very important to her.  She also read her bible daily and prayed fervently for others.

Pat was involved in many church activities and committees, was a hospice worker and helped others in need.

Pat was a friend to everyone and loved by so many.  She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

Predeceased by her parents; one brother: Stanley Earhart and one sister-in-law: Evelyn Earhart.

Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Ken Lane; one son: Ron Lane and wife Molly; two daughters: Karan Preston, Susie Price and husband Garry; brothers: Bob Earhart and wife Debbie, Jack Earhart and wife Linda, Fred Earhart, Brian Earhart and wife Pat, Dale Earhart and wife Gail; one sister: Debbie Baumgardner and husband Ray; grandchildren: Lane Ginter and husband Robert, Conner Lane and wife Casey, Lewis Preston,  Cameron Lane, Garrett Price, Leara Price and Patrick Price; two great grandchildren: Norah Ginter and Scott James Lane.

The Lane family will greet friends on Saturday, July 9, 2022, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Manassas Baptist Church, 8800 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20110 where a memorial service will begin at 12:00 PM with Pastor David Donahue and Pastor Kevin Crowder officiating.  Burial will be private.
