Paul was a longtime member of the congregation of Trinity Episcopal Church and a former Master of the Manasseh Lodge No. 182 in Manassas. Paul will be sorely missed. A service celebrating Paul’s life will be held on Tuesday 16 July at 10AM at Trinity Episcopal Church, 9325 West Street, Manassas, VA. So sorry for your loss! Paul was my work teammates and he was kind loving person! Rest in peace Paul!
Shipmate, we first served together in the 1960s, then again in the 80s, and both tours were in London. Paul, I remember, and I say your name so I do not forget: Master Chief Paul James Martin. Fair Winds and Following Seas, Shipmate.
Eternal Father, strong to save,
Whose arm hath bound the restless wave,
Who bidd’st the mighty ocean deep
Its own appointed limits keep,
O hear us when we cry to thee
For those in peril on the sea!
Eternal Father, guard our dead,
For whom his shipmates bow their heads,
Receive him now his labors cease,
And grant Master Chief Paul James Martin eternal peace,
O hear us as we lift our prayer,
For promised rest and loving care.
O Christ! Whose voice the waters heard
And hushed their raging at thy word,
Who walkedst on the foaming deep,
And calm amidst its rage didst sleep,
O hear us when we cry to thee,
For those in peril on the sea!
