Melissa Anne Wenzel (Schreiner) passed away on January 29th, 2023 from early onset vascular & Alzheimer’s dementias. She was born on July 21st, 1950. She lived her life with a positive attitude overcoming life’s many obstacles thrown her way. To her two sons, she will always be remembered as a selfless mother routinely putting family ahead of herself. We are comforted in knowing she’ll finally be with her late husband again, Russ.
Missy was the beloved wife of Russ Wenzel, loving mother of Scott Wenzel and fiancé Sarah Rhyne of Palm Coast, FL and Steve Wenzel and his wife, Amanda of Manassas, VA. She is also survived by her sister Mara Hlavaty and her husband Joel of Wadsworth, OH and her sister- and brother-in-law Carolyn and Ray Wenzel of Morristown, NJ as well as many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. A Prayer Service will be on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Olde Towne Funeral Home, 9320 West Street, Manassas, VA 20110.
